Talia Satov

My name is Talia Satov and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I have several years’ experience working with young people as a teacher and mentor. My experience has enabled me to develop many skills and insights which guided my personal journey and path to becoming a therapist. Working in schools, I noticed gaps in mental health resources for students and this is part of what inspired me to pursue a career in counselling psychology.

My goal as a counsellor is to provide you with a safe environment in which you feel comfortable to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences, free from judgement, while taking the challenging steps towards improvements you want in your life. It’s important to me to work collaboratively with you in identifying the resources and strategies you need to achieve your goals. The importance of connection between myself, as a therapist, and my clients, is something that drew me to this profession. I recognize and embrace how important it is for you to truly feel heard, understood, and accepted. I place great value on the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship throughout your journey towards self-discovery and healing.

Personally, I value, emphasize and encourage “growth” rather than “change”. I am specifically interested in helping you grow in ways that allow you to have a better understanding of yourself and how you interact with others in your environments.

Being a practicum student, I have the benefit of supervision from a variety of experienced therapists, and I am able to offer sliding scale rates for those who are on limited budgets, students, between jobs or who lack sufficient health care funding.

I truly believe each and every one of us has the ability to understand deep down what our needs are.  We all have hopes and dreams.  We all deserve to live meaningfully! Sometimes, it’s hard to find the strength or identify the resources to follow the path to a balanced and fulfilling life. Working together, it is my hope to help you clarify your needs and design the steps throughout your journey! Part of my journey is to help you identify your own strengths and develop new skills to approach problems/situations in ways that will improve every aspect of your life.

I wish you all the best and I hope to meet you soon!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page,
